Terms of Use

Version 1 · Effective 29 October 2026

The short version. Shotmoo sells camera-move reference videos and Blender files made of simple 3D blocks. You pay with credits. Whatever you download you may use in your own work, including commercial work and as input to AI video tools, for as long as you like. You may not resell or redistribute the files themselves, share your account, or scrape the library. If you upload your own footage to be converted, you must own the rights to it, and we delete the footage after we have built the reference. You must be at least 18 years old. The full terms are below; the short version does not replace them.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Shotmoo ("Shotmoo", "we", "us"). Shotmoo is operated by Lê Tuấn Minh, Hanoi, Vietnam. They govern your use of the website at shotmoo.com (and its temporary address shotmoo.pages.dev), the files you download from it and any related service we offer (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, ticking the box in the sign-up form, or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Age. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. By using the Service you confirm that you are.

Business use. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or studio, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it, and "you" includes that company.

2. The Service

Shotmoo is a library of camera movements rebuilt as simple 3D "blockout" videos: characters are coloured blocks, sets are grey blocks, and only the camera path, lens and timing are kept. Each reference is offered in several aspect ratios as an MP4 video and as a Blender scene. The Service also lets you change a reference (number of people, props, lens, speed, framing and similar) and export your edited version, save favourites and projects, and send us a clip of your own so we can rebuild its camera move as a blockout ("Convert").

The library, the tools and the prices may change over time. We may add, change or remove references and features, and we do not promise that any particular reference, format or feature will stay available.

3. Your account

4. Credits, plans and payments

4.1 Credits

Downloads, exports and conversions are paid with credits. The cost of each action is shown in the Service before you confirm it. New accounts receive a number of free credits; we may change that number or stop offering free credits for new accounts at any time. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account, and are not refundable except as described in 4.4.

Once you have paid credits for a library reference in a given aspect ratio and format, you can download that same file again without paying again. An edited version is charged once per distinct edit.

4.2 Payments and Paddle

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates ("Paddle"), who act as merchant of record. This means Paddle is the party that sells you the credits or the plan, issues the invoice, collects any VAT or sales tax and handles the payment itself. Paddle's own terms apply to the payment: paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise and may be converted to your currency at checkout.

4.3 Plans and renewals

A plan is a subscription that adds credits to your account every billing period. It renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and you keep the credits already added. Credits added by a plan remain usable while the plan is active and for 12 months after the last renewal. We will tell you at least 30 days in advance before raising the price of a plan you are subscribed to.

4.4 Refunds and the right to withdraw

Credits that have been used are not refundable. For an unused one-time credit purchase, or a plan period in which no credits were used, you may ask for a refund within 14 days of payment. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase; by downloading, exporting or converting with the credits you bought, you ask us to start supplying the digital content immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw for the part of the purchase that has been used. Refund requests go to the address in section 17 or to Paddle. Chargebacks for purchases that were actually used may lead to the suspension of the account until the matter is resolved.

4.5 Price changes

We may change the prices of credits, plans and the credit cost of actions. Changes do not affect credits you already hold or the price of a plan period you have already paid for.

5. What you may do with what you download

5.1 Your licence

When you download a reference (a video or a Blender file, from the library or as your edited version) we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, non-transferable licence to use it as a reference in your own productions, including commercial productions, for example to brief a crew, to previsualise a shot, or as an input to an AI video generator such as Seedance, Veo, Kling or any similar model. Output you create with the help of a Shotmoo reference (your film, your AI video, your animation) is yours; we claim no rights in it.

5.2 What the licence does not allow

If you need a wider licence (for example to redistribute references inside a software product), write to us.

6. Your footage and your edits

6.1 Convert: clips you send us

When you upload a clip for conversion you confirm that you own it or have the right to use it for this purpose, that it does not infringe anyone's rights and that it contains nothing illegal. You grant us a licence to store, view and analyse the clip in order to rebuild its camera move. We use the clip only for that purpose: it is not published, not shown to other users and not used to train models. We delete the uploaded clip within 30 days after the conversion is finished or refused.

The result of a conversion is a blockout reference: it contains only the camera path, lens, timing and the positions of blocks that stand for people and objects. It contains none of your footage. You receive it in your account, and we may also add the blockout reference to the public library so that other users can use it, without any mention of you or of the source clip. If you do not want a particular blockout added to the library, tell us when you upload the clip or within 7 days after you receive the result.

Conversion is done by people and tools in our studio, so it takes time, usually hours, sometimes days. We may refuse a clip that we cannot convert (for example too long, no clear camera move, poor quality) or that breaks section 7; in that case the credits are returned.

6.2 Edits

Edited versions of references that you create in the Service are stored in your account so you can find them again. We may keep an edit's settings (not your name) and use them to improve the library, for example by adding a popular variation of a shot.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, the library, each reference, the blockout style, the Shotmoo name and logo, and all software and designs that make up the Service belong to Shotmoo or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Apart from the licence in section 5 and the rights expressly given in these Terms, nothing here transfers any right to you. Blender is a trademark of the Blender Foundation and Shotmoo is not affiliated with it; the Blender files we provide are our own scenes.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on providers such as Cloudflare (hosting and file storage), Supabase (accounts and database), Paddle (payments) and Google, Apple and Microsoft (sign-in). Their terms and privacy policies apply to the parts they handle. AI video tools into which you feed a reference are not part of the Service; their terms and output licences are their own, and we are not responsible for the results they produce.

10. Suspension and termination

By you. You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account (section 17). Deleting the account ends any plan; see 4.3 and 4.4 for what happens to credits and payments. References you have already downloaded remain licensed to you under section 5.

By us. We may suspend or close your account, with notice where reasonably possible, if you break these Terms, if we must do so by law, or if we stop offering the Service. If we close your account for a breach of sections 5 or 7, unused credits are forfeited. If we stop offering the Service altogether, we will give at least 30 days' notice and refund unused credits bought within the previous 12 months.

Sections 5 (for files already downloaded), 8, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16 survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

The Service and every reference are provided "as is" and "as available". A reference is a simplified reconstruction of a camera move, not a measurement of the original shot; lens values, distances and timing are approximations. We do not promise that a reference will produce any particular result in any AI model or production, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a conversion will succeed. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shotmoo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost production time, arising from or related to the Service, even if we have been told they were possible. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) USD 50. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer law.

13. Indemnity

If you use the Service for business purposes, you will defend and compensate Shotmoo against claims, damages and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from content you upload, from your breach of these Terms, or from your use of a reference in breach of section 5.

14. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you by e-mail or by a notice in the Service at least 14 days before it takes effect, and the sign-up box will ask new users to accept the new version. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and ask us to close your account. The current version and its date are always shown at the top of this page.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably will be brought before the competent courts of Hanoi, Vietnam. If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you the right to bring claims in your own courts or to the protection of its mandatory consumer rules, nothing in this section takes those rights away. Before starting any formal proceedings, please write to us; most problems can be solved in a few e-mails.
